My son was born sick and he needed lots of meds; some that would keep him upset and always crying as he was going from one hospital to another until he was two months old. Finally someone told me of the blanket wrapping. This I’d never done to any of my other four children I’d always let them have all the room they needed to ‘flow’; this was always my way. But I will tell you that it was a blessing to find a way for my son to finally get some peaceful rest. He was finally sleeping – not crying, not jerking all the time – he really loved being wrapped up in this blanket. It didn’t seem right at first; I’d always done my others differently. It actually took will power to feel good about wrapping my son. But it was the best possible treatment ever. I feel every one could have as much to learn from others as I did. He was so happy, warm and peaceful, but most of all he sleep ‘like a baby’. I hope more people try this as just a way to keep your wonderful babies feeling as safe and happy as they did when they looked up at you for the first time.
